| A bit of history |

|
The tradition of "ALGA-BIS" goes back to 1978. The firm was established by Ewa Andrzejewska, who has been running it ever since together with Krzysztof Krysiak (since 1995).
In 1990 the firm decided to design and produce working clothes, mainly for doctors and nurses. In search of suitable textiles it developed long-term co-operation with finishing factory ZPB "Pamotex" in Pabianice. The co-operation resulted in the production of new fabrics FIGARO, BOSTON and RAMBO, which are commonly used by medical clothes producers and which conform to foreign standards.
In this way Polish market received first original and ambitious offer which meets specific needs of medical and pharmaceutical staff. Our motto has always been: | |

The firm is flourishing. The collection presented here started from ten models. Now you can choose from over a hundred and the number is still growing as we are trying not only to follow current fashion but also to dress our customers in more and more elegant and comfortable clothes. |

In 1996 electronic and pharmaceutical industries were offered new specialistic clothes made of non-dusting, anti-electrostatic, impervious fabric, which was awarded a gold medal during 44th WORLD EXHIBITION OF INVENTION RESEARCH AND INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION "BRUSSELS EUREKA '95"

In 1998 ALGA-BIS was the first firm in Poland to receive the Certificate of Accordance with Polish Standards and the right to label its products with Polish Standard mark: PN.
In this way our customers received a good quality quarantee. The high designing and manufacturing standards were confirmed by the positive opinio of The Institute of Pattern Designing for Industry in Warsaw. |
|
| In 2000 the Firm provided its customers with a new catalogue which beside well known and popular models offers newly designed men and women's suits, trouser suits, overalls and smocks so that doctors and nurses could dress according to their job rank. |
|
| Since we have our own Pattern room we are able to adapt most of the presented designs to specific working places. |

| A bit of humour | | | |
When in the mid of 1990s our firm took part in the successive contest "Teraz Polska" ("Now Poland"), the reason for not awarding us this honourable trade mark was justified as follows: "The design presented in the collection don't resemble working clothes." We regarded this opinion as a compliment confirming that we achieved the goal we had set ourselves. |
